Landscape design and advice
Ecological recommendations are usually delivered on the ground through the landscape design for a project. Our landscape architects create masterplans to ensure that schemes work for wildlife and people, add value to sustainable drainage schemes with new habitats, create new homes for wildlife and connect existing wildlife corridors. The right plants from the right places are specified, the materials used in construction are sustainably sourced and used and nature can get back and colonise as quickly as possible.
Landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA) is sometimes required as part of a formal EIA or to accompany planning applications. Our landscape architects use computer modelling and CGI photomontages to show what a development will look like and where it can be seen from, allowing developers, planners and the public to make informed decisions about planning and design.
