Water Framework Directive Compliance Assessment

If you are proposing to develop a site near a surface or groundwater body, you must now comply with tough new rules for the Water Framework Directive (WFD).

A WFD Compliance Assessment is required for any infrastructure development that has the potential to affect the water environment. New development projects that fail to demonstrate robust WFD compliance may face delays in gaining appropriate consents and be challenged by environmental bodies.
