We provide advice to developers, architects and planners from site selection through to wildlife surveys and mitigation measures, liaising with local authority planners, Natural England and the Environment Agency.

Network for Nature programme

The Wildlife Trust Consultancies have been involved in the data collection and assessment at the feasibility stage and have significantly contributed to successfully securing funding for all 26 projects across England.

Promoting Biodiversity at Centre Parcs

Over the past nine years, the Wildlife Trust Consultancies have developed strong relationships with the rangers at Center Parcs contributing to the wildlife and biodiversity that is key to the Center Parcs Sustainability Strategy and the continued success of the short break destinations.

Biodiversity net gain in practice

Middlemarch Environmental Ltd, a Wildlife Trust Consultancy member helped a property developer understand the Biodiversity requirements attached to planning consent.

Effective management of ecological constraints with minimal impact on project delivery

Together with SWT Ecology Services, the Wildlife Trust Consultancies demonstrated significant flexibility on this contract, being able to resource a team at very short notice during peak ecology survey season and to successfully integrate with Kier Highways projects team.

Enhancing the local natural environment using expert knowledge

Willmott Dixon partnered with the Wildlife Trust Consultancies and worked with local ecologists with unrivalled knowledge of the local environment, habitats and biodiversity

UK Wide Mitigation Research

The Wildlife Trust Consultancies, co-ordinated by EMEC Ecology, undertook a major national survey of roads which cross waterways for Highways England. Providing essential advice and mitigation measures.

Landscape and Ecology Surveys

The Wildlife Trust Consultancies, co-ordinated by EMEC Ecology, undertook landscape and ecology surveys of over 2000 areas of ‘Open Country’ across England, for Natural England.
